The New Slim 360 ???

So what is the really Big difference between the new slim 360 and the original 360 we all had and still love? The New Xbox 360 may be slimmer, slightly faster, and have a larger capacity removable hard drive, but is it worth $299? The New Xbox 360 has a sleeker design; is17 percent smaller; has much quieter operation; better cooling; touch-sensitive power and disc tray; 250GB hard drive; built-in Wi-Fi; five USB ports; dedicated Kinect port; onboard optical digital audio. The hard drive can only be bought from Microsoft; the controller on D-pad remains unchanged; still has the cumbersome power block; you can't use your existing faceplates anymore; no HD gaming out of the box. You have to buy the HDMI cable is you want HD. Microsoft's new, slim Xbox 360 not only ditches the Red Ring Of Death, the console monitors itself to determine if it's starting to overheat. The Xbox 360 is shutting down to protect the console from insufficient ventilation, You can turn the console back on after the power light stops flashing. Microsoft confirmed the existence of the monitoring function. The Microsoft representative said "the new console has safety mechanisms in place to shut down, if needed, including an advanced warning that the console will shut down." Although the warning isn't something that I want to see but it's nice to know that Microsoft is doing more to protect its console. So far what I see it is not a huge difference that jumps out at you but I do like some of the new features. The safety and the knowing I don’t have to replace my Xbox every 6 months is HUGE! There are a lot of rumors out there about the new Xbox. If you want to find out some of them then keep checking back and I may post them in my next article. But for now I would like to hear what you have to say. I gave some info now give me your input.

The new box looks "Off The Hook" but what happened to the lack of memory, oh wait... it has that issue now....

the only reason it is what it is, the internal wi-fi and the added bonus of comming with kinect. but the fact you can have a "old" xbox and still use the kinect makes it a waste of money. unless you make regular trips to mcdonals to use their wifi than really whats the big deal. sure it looks good and yeah the red eye is fixed. but thats only due the the fact the removed the red led light.... it can still happen just no red eye so will i spend the money on a new xbox slim.. no i like my "old box" so no reason to rid myself of it. but to each is own so really its what you want.

I had the old xbox 360 and bought the kinect. It was a pain to play it. Just on the fact that in order to play kinect with the old 360 the kinect had to have an extra power source.

Thats why i took my 360 and controllers to game stop and did a trade on them when they had their "specials" and "promos" to get a good trade out of them. Got me the new Slim!!! :)
